Work in progress

Ok this time I am going to try to do something different again, both in composition and in publication. I will attempt to do a chronology of a painting. In this case it is a an unnamed (so far) acrylic painting on a 8X10 hardboard. Lets see how this goes...

Now normally I do not work on a painting for more than 30 min sessions usually around 15 min at a time at most before I put it away for later.

Today I just wanted to outline a figure with a conte' pencil. For this painting the background has not been decided on so I will come up with something after the figure is well on its way. Dec 12 08
I blocked in the shape with some basic browns. Yes the head looks a little creepy but my 7 min were up! Looks humanoid...so far theres hope.

Starting the shading now. On hold for a bit as I am going to Yellowknife N.W.T for a week.

Nothing like doing nudes to humble a painter. No-where but up from here....

Well not much to say that I did not say in the above. I am not finding this one "fun" it seems more of a learning experience at this point.

Been wanting to paint birch/poplar trees for a while so here's my attempt.
Ok this is my 10th painting. Getting a little more comfortable, but I am still having problems deciding on the perfect subject matter for a painting."painters-block" I guess.;^)

After The Rain

Started this one early 2007 and left it not knowing how I was going to finish it. Called it done in 2008 throwning a bit more paint on it.
